3 Little Known WoW Gold Farming Tips
3 Little Known WoW Gold Farming Tips
Gold farming really can start as soon as you make a new character if you want, it doesn’t need to be looked at from a high level player only, and these tips will help anyone farm gold in wow easier. I recommend from when you first start your character you remember these tips to help you get more gold faster.
1. Take up Gathering Professions
Professions like Jewelcrafting, Enchanting, Inscriptions, blacksmithing are great once you level them up, the problem is it costs thousands of gold to level these professions up over the entire length of leveling (or if you wait until 60/70/80 to start them and plan on buying the mats to power level these professions, it will be very costly.
On the other hand gathering professions like Mining, Herbalism, and Skinning are more passive professions, where you come across the resources while leveling, and you simply take the resources, then sell them on the AH.
Since Inscriptions was released with WOLTK herbalism has become very popular because even low level herbs like peacebloom and earthroot can sell for 10-30 gold per stack (really depending on your realm, it can vary greatly realm to realm).
By level 10 I had 80g from herbalism alone when I took it up when WOLTK was released on a new alt I decided to make.
2. There are certain items in the game you can buy from vendors for resale.
Some of these items are out of the way for lower level players. For example the first aid training book is bought from a vendor. Many people have multiple characters so they just send money to their “alts.” They are also lazy and instead of flying on their main to buy the first aid book for 1g25s they check the AH on their alt.
On some realms you can sell these types of items all day long for 3-8 times the vendor price. I’ve been doing this for 3 years and have thousands of gold from doing this alone.
3. While not a direct gold farming tip, this is an indirect tip to make farming easier.
Take up Cooking as soon as possible. The benefits of the food and drink buffs you get with cooking make farming (when grinding for items or just gold) much easier, saves you money not having to buy food and water from vendors and you collect the meats and such to skill up cooking while you’re questing.
Gold farming should not only looked at from the aspect of killing creatures to get gold and item drops but also from professions and many other tricks in game you can use to increase the amount of gold you have very quickly.
